Archit Sankhe, Special Representative of the Executive Director on Children, spoke at multistakeholder consultations hosted by the Permanent Missions of Poland and Malawi to the United Nations.
The consultations, hosted by the Permanent Missions of Poland and Malawi, fed into the midterm review of the New Urban Agenda. The Foundation's remarks focused on the place of children and young people in urban planning, housing and local decision-making.
The Foundation holds accreditations and observer arrangements across the United Nations system, which allow its representatives to take the floor in intergovernmental meetings. Interventions are prepared by the Secretariat and, where applicable, coordinated with the Major Group for Children and Youth, whose constituency the Foundation regularly represents.
