About
The General Assembly of Members brings together the individual, organizational and honorary members of the Foundation: 27,284 people across 172 countries and territories. Every membership category holds the right to vote on membership matters, to serve on certain committees, and to stand for election as officers.
The Assembly elects the Foundation’s independent oversight officers by direct vote of the individual members.
Functions
- Votes on membership matters and officer elections
- Elects the Inspector-General and the Ombudsman
- Holds the Secretariat accountable through open consultations
